Troubleshooting
When things go wrong—broken links, slow pages, errors, login issues—this section helps you identify, isolate, and resolve problems. If you follow the steps here and still can’t fix the issue, it's time to escalate through our support ticketing system.
Common Website Problems
Here are some frequent issues you might encounter:
- Broken Links / 404 Errors — clicking a link or image that returns “page not found.”
- Slow Page Load Times — pages taking too long to load, especially on mobile.
- Mobile Compatibility Issues — layout breaks, buttons overlap, text unreadable on phones or tablets.
- Plugin / Theme Conflicts — errors after installing or updating extensions, modules, or updates.
- Security Warnings — site not secure (no SSL), mixed content, warnings in browser, or blocked content.
- Login / Access Problems — can’t log in, permissions errors, missing credential issues.
- Domain / DNS Issues — site not resolving, wrong host, expired or misconfigured domain.
- Email / Contact Form Failures — form submissions not delivering, missing notifications.
- Search Engine Visibility Problems — site not indexed, sitemaps broken, metadata errors.
Before You Submit a Ticket
Try these steps—many issues can be fixed without needing external help:
| Diagnostic Area | What to Check | Quick Fixes |
|---|---|---|
| Browser & Device | Try multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari), desktop vs mobile | Clear your browser cache; test incognito/private mode |
| Recent Changes | What did you change before the issue appeared? Theme, plugin, content edits, server config | Undo the last change; disable or revert updates |
| Plugin / Extension Conflicts | Deactivate recently added or updated plugins/themes one by one | Re-enable one at a time to find the conflict |
| SSL & Security | Is the SSL certificate valid? Mixed HTTP/HTTPS links? Insecure assets loaded? | Renew or install SSL; replace insecure links/assets |
| Server / Hosting Status | Hosting plan limits, server overload, maintenance happening? | Check with host; look for provider status page |
| Performance Tools | Use website speed tools (PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, etc.) | Minify / compress images; reduce redirect chains; enable caching |
| Error Logs & Debugging | Server/log errors; plugin debug modes; CMS logs | Enable logs; review recent error entries; share snapshots |
| DNS / Domain Config | Domain active, nameservers correct; DNS recently changed? | Flush DNS cache; verify DNS records |
How to Submit a Good Support Ticket
If troubleshooting on your own doesn’t resolve the issue, creating a clear ticket helps us diagnose faster. Include:
- Issue Summary — short, descriptive title (e.g. “Contact form submissions not delivering” or “404 error on About page”)
- Steps to Reproduce — what you did, what you expected, and what actually happened
- Affected Pages / Devices — is this on all devices? A specific browser? Which pages are broken?
- Relevant Screenshots or Error Messages — capture exactly what you are seeing (include full error text)
- Recent Changes — mention what’s been updated lately (plugins, theme, content, firmware)
- Access Information (without sharing sensitive credentials in unsecured ways) — hosting provider, CMS name, approximate version
What We’ll Do After You Submit a Ticket
1. Confirm receipt and classification (severity, area affected). 2. Reproduce the issue in a test environment if possible. 3. Apply a fix or patch—either directly or with a workaround. 4. Test thoroughly (mobile, browsers, forms, speed). 5. Deploy the fix to live site and verify resolution. 6. Ask you to confirm it’s working; if needed, follow up.
When Issues Are Urgent
Mark your issue as urgent (or contact Support Center directly) if:
- The site is down or showing severe errors to all users
- Users cannot log in (especially admin / support roles)
- Security breach suspected (malware, defacement, data leak)
- Critical functionality broken (checkout, contact forms)
- Domain or SSL expired
