What We’ll Need: Content, Branding, Domain, Hosting

To start your project smoothly, we need several key pieces from you up front. Having these ready means fewer delays, better alignment with your vision, and quicker launch times.

Content We’ll Need

Here’s what to prepare (or draft) for the website’s content:

  • Page Text – written content for your main pages (Home, About, Services, Contact, etc.).
  • Calls to Action – what actions you want visitors to take (e.g. “Contact Us,” “Get a Quote,” “Subscribe”).
  • Testimonials, Case Studies, or Reviews – quotes, before/after scenarios, photos—these help build trust.
  • Images & Media Assets – photos, videos, graphics; high-resolution and organized by where you want them placed.
  • Legal & Informational Content – privacy policy, terms & conditions, disclaimers.
  • Brand Voice & Tone – examples of the way you want to communicate (friendly, professional, casual, etc.).

Branding Materials

To make your website’s design cohesive and aligned with your brand, we’ll need:

  • Logo Files – vector formats (.AI, .EPS, .SVG) plus web-optimized versions (.PNG, .JPG).
  • Brand Colors & Fonts – your primary and secondary palette, brand typography files.
  • Style Guide (if available) – rules for logo use, spacing, color use, and typography.
  • Iconography, Patterns & Visual Motifs – any recurring visual elements you use or want to use.
  • Favicon / Site Icon – small version of your logo for browser tabs & bookmarks.

Domain & Hosting Details

Please gather the following domain and hosting information before we begin technical setup:

Item What to Provide Why It’s Important
Domain Name Chosen domain, registrar, and any existing domain resources To register, transfer, or configure DNS correctly.
Domain Registrar Login Info Username/password or key access (if applicable) Needed for connecting domain to hosting, updating DNS records.
Hosting Provider Info Host provider name, plan type, server location Determines performance, security, scalability.
Hosting Access Credentials Control panel / cPanel / Plesk login, FTP/SFTP/SSH access Required for uploading files, installing CMS, backups.
SSL / HTTPS Details Certificate issuer, certificate files or provider (if existing) To secure your site for safety and SEO.
Email Hosting Info (if applicable) Email service provider details, MX records, forwarding info Important for contact forms and professional email addresses.

Good Practices for Preparation

  • Store all logos, colors, fonts, copy, and hosting/domain credentials in a shared folder (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.).
  • Provide assets with clear filenames and folder structure (e.g., “HomeBanner.jpg,” “Service-Icons/Consult.png”) to save time.
  • Confirm that images are high resolution (print/web quality) but optimized so they don’t slow your site load.
  • Backup and document any existing site/content before changes begin.

What Happens Next

1. We’ll review everything you submit and let you know if any pieces are missing or need refining. 2. Based on what you provide, we’ll build your site’s design drafts and page-structure. 3. We’ll prepare technical setup (domain, hosting, CMS installation). 4. Once design + content are in place, we’ll send previews for your feedback. 5. After revisions, we’ll push to staging then launch; then we’ll ensure everything works live.
